Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning (Exfoliation) $100/Treatment

🎉 Dermaplaning is a non-invasive exfoliation treatment that involves using a sterile surgical scalpel to gently scrape off the top layer of dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (often referred to as “peach fuzz”) from the face. The process is meticulous and performed by a trained professional who carefully works to reveal the smoother, fresher skin underneath. Unlike other exfoliation methods like chemical peels or microdermabrasion, dermaplaning is entirely mechanical, meaning it relies on the physical action of the blade against the skin, making it suitable for a wide range of skin types.

Medical-Grade Scalpel

The blades used for dermaplaning are medical-grade stainless steel and have a rounded tip to avoid accident poking of the client and/or the skincare expert. These razor sharp blades easily glide across the very top surface of the skin, ensuring a smooth finish. This is a type of exfoliation treatment and cannot be bundled with the microdermabrasion. It is best to choose one type (microdermabrasion or dermaplaning) when booking services. Both types of exfoliation are acceptable prior to the microneedling with serum infusion.

Clients enjoy Dermaplaning to enhance their skin’s overall health, texture, and appearance. This treatment can be performed twice monthly for maximal results. Clients must be able to remain very still during the treatment, and should have evidence of vellus hair “peach fuzz” or we will opt for the microdermabrasion exfoliation treatment. For clients with excessively bumpy skin, or with active lesions or cystic acne – Dermaplaning would be contraindicated, and we would provide other treatments to help heal and improve the texture of the skin before adding this treatment into the regimen.
